Eli Escobar
Eli Escobar is the quintessential New York City DJ. Over the past ten years he’s built a

reputation around his parties, emerging as one of the most talented in the NY dance

scene. With a style based on his diverse tastes, Eli subversively drops his influences

and personal favorites into even the most commercial of sets. Anyone who knows

anything about dance music knows Eli Escobar, and if you don't, you will.

Eli grew up in 1980’s New York City. His love for hip-hop brought him his first set of

turntables and he became a connoisseur of vinyl records very early on, building his

collection and expanding his knowledge of the music that moves people. He spent

much of the Nineties in the New York club scene, going to parties and eventually being

the reason others went. By 1999 he’d produced his first string of hip-hop 12 inches,

which was only the beginning of his broadening musical aspirations.

Over the past several years, Eli has turned to remixing, transitioning smoothly to what he

does best – dance music. His talent as a remixer is reflected in the wide range of artists

who have sought him out to turn their songs into something specifically his. The list

boasts work for Diplo, M.I.A., Britney Spears, Chromeo, Holy Ghost!, Pase Rock, and

Amanda Blank, whose debut album featured two Escobar-produced tracks. Miss Blank

is also featured on Eli’s upcoming EP, The Love Thing.

As his name has grown among artists, so has his influence. In 2007 he launched the

ever-popular blog, outsidebroadcast.com, very simply demonstrating not only his love for

dance music but his dedication to finding it, and ultimately sharing it. Through this outlet,

Eli has become a source that DJs pay attention to, often presenting new or forgotten

gems, remixes, re-edits and of course free DJ mixes, often accompanied by Eli's

insightful commentary which gives context to the music he shares, ultimately offering a

great read as well as listen.

With the release of his first full length solo album, as of now untitled, we as listeners

have his finely tuned ear constructing what will certainly be a certifiable classic. What Eli

brings to the table in his production, through the looking glass of his career is an

understanding of music’s sustainability. Eli strives to enhance people’s experience with

music wholly - through playing out, his blog, the remixes and now full circle by producing

his album. It's a natural progression that has seen Eli's following steadily grow, with

heightened anticipation for what's next.

ニューヨークのダンスミュージックシーンで、彼のパーティーの評判はこの10年間鰻上りである。

ダンスミュージックの知識がある人間なら誰でもEli Escobarの名前を聞いた事があるであろう。もし、知らなければ今後知る事になる。

Eliは80年代のニューヨークで育った。幼少期にターンテーブルを購入したのがきっかけで早い段階からコレクターとしてレコードを収集した。その莫大なコレクションと音楽知識は人々を驚嘆させている。

90年代のほとんどをニューヨークのクラブシーンで過ごし、毎晩の様にパーティーに顔を出したEliは、当然のようにDJになる事をを志した。

1999年、初めてプロデュースした音源が12インチとしてリリースされ、ますます音楽に対する欲望と野心を広げていった。

長い年月を経て、様々な経験をしたEliは、リミキシングやエディットをする様になる。それは、Diplo / M.I.A. / Britney Spears / Chromeo / Holy Ghost! / Pase Rockといった一流アーティストの作品であった。

2007年、Eliは自分の探しあてた音源をシェアする事を目的としたブログ "outsidebroadcast"を開設した。このブログは、ダンスミュージックへの愛を語るだけではなく、ディグしシェアする事を目的としたブログであった。新曲や埋もれた名曲、リミックス、リエディット、フリーDJ MIXを積極的にシェアし、楽曲の背景について、Eliの持つ鋭い洞察力で語った。

今現在、ニューヨークでのDJは勿論、全米やヨーロッパなど、世界各国でのギグをこなすと同時に、Night People NYC,Classic Music Company,Nervousといったレーベルから作品をリリースするなど、プロデュース業にも力をいれている。

2014年に発売されたファーストアルバム「Up All Night」、2016年と2017年にそれぞれリリースされた「Happiness」「Shout」といった過去3作のアルバムはEliの確かな耳が作り上げた楽曲が収録されている。それは、間違いなくクラシックアルバムだとリスナー達は口を揃える。アルバムをプロデュースしたことによって、クラブプレイやブログ、リミックス等、今まで点であったものが線となり、それを通してリスナーの経験値を上げさせる。そんな努力を惜しまない彼に対して、ファンは彼の次の動きを期待する事はごく自然の流れであろう。

DJ YMX
最新のHIP HOPから古いR＆Bまでこだわりの選曲、スクラッチ、MIXと三拍子揃ったDJでダンスフロアを盛り上げるのが得意でそのテクは初心者からオタクまで虜にしてしまう。昔から音楽好きで本場の生のHIP HOPを体験したり、MIXTAPE、ラジオを聴き、レコードを掘りまくった。好きなDJのパーティに顔を出したり、自身の尊敬するアーティストのフロントアクトを積極的にこなし、自身のバイブスを高めていく。その「HIP HOPセンス」を武器に、自分なりのフロアを盛り上げる独自のルーティーンを築き上げていった。
様々な活動を経て、2005年、当時ブラックミュージックとしては京都で最も勢いのあったクラブ『sound base SEED』のイベントプロデュースやマネージャーを任され京都で新しいスタイルのPARTYを提案したり、自身も毎週土曜日開催のHIP HOP PARTY「Booty」に名を連ねた。2010年には多くの話題を残したクラブ『SAM & DAVE KYOTO』の毎週日曜日開催「SOUND MASSACRE」に加入。同年6月からは京都で最も信頼と実績を兼ね備えたハコ『世界WORLD』にて初のブラックミュージックの帯パーティ、毎週木曜日開催「STICKER」がスタート。さらには現在京都一の動員数と盛り上がりを見せるクラブ『BUTTERFLY』の毎週土曜日開催「BUTTERFLY SATURDAYS」にも名を連ね、当時の京都三大クラブで帯を持つただ一人のDJとして多くのクラウドを熱狂させ人気を不動のもの
とした。2014年3月にはその実力を買われ、大阪ミナミに新しくオープンしたクラブ『GHOST ultra lounge』のチーフDJに抜擢。活動の域を京都だけでなく大阪にまで広げる。クラブプレイ以外にもFMラジオ、インターネットラジオのゲスト出演、有名ブランドの店舗でのインストアDJ、MIX音源のリリースや制作等、その活動は多岐にわたり未だ止まる事をしらない。

DJ YUSKAY
2003年に上京し、そこからClub DJとしてのキャリアを彼はスタートさせた。その後に更なるステップアップをと考えた彼は日本のTop DJの1人であるDJ KOYAの下で様々な知識やスキルを学ぶ事を決意し、それに日々没頭する事となった。 その後、2010年よりNew Yorkに渡米。渡米して1年程で全米屈指の高級NightclubであるMarquee New Yorkの金曜日のOpenerのチャンスを掴みその後、MarqueeのレジデントDJに抜擢された。 そこでの経験を元にその後、数々のセレブリティースポットでの仕事をこなしていった。そういった現地セレブリティやニューヨーカーの集まるNightclubでの彼のDJ Playが評価され、Greenhouse, WIP, Tao Down Town, Highline Ballroom, STK, Trump Hotel, Stone Rose Lounge, Hudson Hotelなど様々な場所での仕事を請け負うこととなった。その後、Jay-Z率いるRoc Nationの一員でもあるDJ Ross Oneと行動を共にし、1OAK, Avenue, Up and Down, など数々の一流のNew York Nightclubでの仕事のチャンスを得ることとなった。それと平行してVice Magazine, Michael Kors, Hennessyをはじめ様々な大手クライアントのPrivate Partyでの仕事も行ってきた。 そして2014年からは更なるClub DJとしての可能性とスキルアップを求め、活動の場を母国、日本へと移した彼は今後も目が離せないClub DJの1人であると言えるだう。

DJ SALSA
Started his DJ career in 2010 within his hometown of kyoto, japan.
Less than a year later, he distinguished himself as becoming the the resident DJ for many night club.
Later he than released first mixtape(CD), METEOR, which was based on HIPHOP/R&B.
This mixtape received a great amount of attention around Japan.
Since then, the CD has become No.1 in many store rankings and he has been invited to local club as a guest DJ.
In 2015, he attented to ‘’Red Bull Thre3Style 2015 Qualifying round’’.
Even though he couldn’t make it to the next round, he attracted audience with the prominent skills.
DJ Salsa is always seeking for an evolved DJing.
His aggressiveness will always be needed in any DJ scenes.

2010年より地元京都でDJ活動を開始。 僅か１年足らずで頭角を現し、数々のNIGHT CLUBでResident DJを歴任することとなる。
その後、自身初となるMIX CDリリース。HIPHOP/R&Bをテーマにした作品「METEOR」は全国で好セールスを記録。
各CD店舗のランキングでも１位を獲得し、その名を轟かせ、各地方のNIGHT CLUBにGUEST DJとして招待される。
2015年には、’’Red Bull Thre3style 2015 Qualifying round’’にて惜しくも敗退するが、 その卓越したスキルでその場の観客全てを魅了した。
常に、「進化」したDJingを求め続けるDJ SALSA。
そのアグレッシブさはこれからのDJシーンにおいても必要不可欠な存在となること間違いない。
