Introducing one of the newest elite members of the phenomenal DJ generation: Drewski, a multi-talented hip-hop connoisseur with more than meets the eye.
Drewski grew up in New Jersey. His entrepreneurship started at a very young age where Drewski nurtured a sincere passion for music. With the help of great mentors Cipha Sounds and Angie Martinez, Drewski earned his way into the DJ rank. His media affiliations include BET, VH1, MTVu, and many more.
Drewski began producing for Hot 97 almost a decade ago. He developed great expertise working as the official producer on The Angie Martinez Show. He improved his skills and continued to create himself within his craft. Meanwhile, Drewski’s work also proved instrumental in Cipha Sounds and DJ Enuff’s production success. Notably, Drewski works as an A&R and DJ for performing artist Maino and Jim Jones.
Recently, Drewski teamed up with Cipha Sounds to create The MVMT, a dynamic of professional DJs and artists who perform globally. The MVMT serves as a hub for new music and art. So far in 2016, The MVMT released music, hosted a sold-out showcase concert and started their own apparel company. Additionally, Drewski’s New MVMT radio show has contributed to starting the careers of recording artists such as Desiigner, A-Boogie, Young MA and many more. Drewski is also currently the newest video host for Vevo, and recently landed a spot as a new cast member on VH1’s hit TV series Love and Hip Hop.
ヒップホップミュージックを熟知するスペシャリストとして、BET、VH1、MTVなど 米国の主要音楽TVメディアで活躍をするDJ DREWSKI。DJとしてのキャリアはもちろん長く、MAINOやJIM JONESといったニューヨークを象徴するアーティストのA&Rとしても、インダストリーに携わってきた。近年は、ベテランのニューヨークDJ Chipha Soundsと自身が設立したヒップホップメディア、The MVMT［http://thenewmvmt.com/］で、新たな目線からヒップホップをフィーチャーした番組でホストを務めている。またVH1でも人気をはくすTVシリーズ”Love and Hip Hop”にも出演している。

Since 1998, Lead has experienced a variety of opportunities throughout his career as a DJ in Japan. In 2008, he joined the New York based Hip-Hop DJ crew, The Heavy Hitters who are considered to be one of the most respectable and influential DJ crews in New York.
In 2013, Lead began hosting his own weekly program called "International Hour" making him the first foreign DJ on HOT 97 FM, the most demanded radio station in the home of Hip-Hop, New York City.
He has also collaborated with a variety of international and local artists such as "Jim Jones & AI" and "Maino & Anarchy" creating many local smash hits including the song "Live My Dreams" which went to the top of Japanese iTunes charts beating Lil’ Wayne and Nicki Minaj for six weeks straight. Lead also regularly releases mix tapes from major labels including his Def Jam 30th Anniversary Mix which made him one of the most influential DJs in Japan.
In 2014, Lead made his SUMMER JAM debut which was a great accomplishment in his career. Now he plays open format sets at clubs and events internationally with the mission of bridging the gap between Japan and the rest of the world.
1998年からの多岐に渡る国内活動を経て、2009年にNYを拠点とするトップDJ集団＝The Heavy Hittersに日本人として初めて正式加入。
2013年には世界で最も権威あるNYCのヒップホップFMステーション＝「Hot97」で自身のレギュラー番組「International Hour」をスタート。
外国人としては初となる快挙を成し遂げた。
楽曲制作においてもその実力を発揮。
Jim Jones＆ai、Maino＆ANARCHYなど、国内外問わずDJ LEAD独自の目線でアーティストをフューチャーし、極上の楽曲を世に送り出している。
また、Warner MusicでのHot97 Official MIXCD、Universal MusicからDefJam 30周年記念MIXCDをリリース。
また、DJ LEADの世界的人気を決定付けた世界最大のHIPHOPフェス「HOT97 SUMMER JAM」 2014、2015と2年連続の出演を始め、
国内最大のアーバン・フェスSPRINGROOVE、さらにはUS/ヨーロッパ/アジアツアーなど、世界を縦横無尽に飛びまわる。
現在では、HOT 97 SUMMER JAM TOKYOの看板DJとして、日本のシーンをダイレクトに繋ぐ「世界を知るDJ=シーンの最重要人物」として、
唯一無二の地位を築き上げている。
